The applicant proposes construction of a new three-story detached single-family residence with an attached accessory dwelling unit (AADU) located within the basement level of the residence at 9808 235th Place SW, Edmonds, Washington. The proposed development will consist of one principal single-family dwelling with an attached accessory dwelling unit that is internally incorporated into the structure. The AADU will be located on the basement level and will contain approximately 590 square feet of floor area. The principal residence will contain approximately 2,407 square feet of floor area, for a total building floor area of approximately 2,997 square feet. The structure will also have an attached garage of 479 square feet. The proposed residence will contain 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms in the main residence, and 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom within the AADU. The project is intended for residential use and will be designed and constructed in accordance with applicable City of Edmonds land use, building, fire, utility, and engineering requirements.
