PER TABLE 707.3.10 THE REQUIRED FIRE BARRIER & HORIZONTAL ASSEMBLY IS 2 HOUR FIRE RESISTANCE RATING. THIS PROJECT IS TO PROVIDE A 2 HOUR FIRE -RESISTANCE RATED FIRE BARRIER AROUND THE EXISTING NON-RATED PHASE I QFC VESTIBULE. A 90 MINUTE FIRE SHUTTER TIED TO FIRE ALARM & A 90 MINUTE EXIT ONLY FIRE DOOR ARE TO BE INCLUDED. THE EXISTING FLOORS ARE 2 HOUR FIRE RESISTANCE. THE EXISTING GARAGE WAS PERMITTED & CONSTRUCTED UNDER THE 2012 IBC AS A TYPE IA BUILDING, THE PARKING LEVEL IS DESIGNATED AS AN S-2 OCCUPANCY.
