Kirkland Urban (7.17.20 Post-rev to make Permanent Cover - see NOTES) Temp Cover/Escalators is a temp covering over the current escalators to keep them operable while the permanent covering can be modified to adequately protect the escalators from rain. This is a temp structure and will be removed once the permanent structure can be modified. The permanent structure is being redesigned and is wanting to be installed as soon as possible.
Response to Preliminary Review:
1. Provide a site plan specifying exactly where this work will be done within KU- See Attached Plan added to attachments, file name, ";KU Central - Escalator Cover - Additional Information";
2.Elaborate more on the scope of work being proposed:a. Have the escalators already been installed? -The Escalators have been installed but have been turned off due to water damage as the current covering is not adequate to protect the escalators from rain. b. Why is this a temporary cover and not permanent?- The current escalator cover is not adequate to protect the escalator from rain. The current covering is going to be redesigned and modified, this will be under a separate permit. c. What is the expected time of removal- Actively working to modify the design for the permanent covering. We are wanting to get the permanent covering modified as soon as possible.
