Interior conversion and remodel of an existing basement in a single-family residence. The scope begins with replacing the existing sliding glass door with a new 36-inch wide inswing door and integrated sidelight, and installing a window awning centered over the door. Interior work follows with the installation of a kitchenette%wet bar featuring 120V plug-in appliances (induction cooktop and microwave), a dishwasher, and a double-compartment sink and a new sill height window positioned above the proposed kitchen sink. The project also includes installing a laundry facility (stacked washer and dryer) within the existing bathroom footprint, with new MHT box water supply and drain lines and a 220V dryer exhaust duct, a freestanding wash basin in the bathroom area, provided with hot and cold water supply, drain connections, and necessary shut-off valves. Final interior finishes include waterproof Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) in the kitchenette and new carpet in the living area. All work to comply with the 2021 IRC and Washington State Energy Codes.
