Removal and disposal of Austrian Pine tree on 13304 property that is leaning over the public sidewalk into the roadway (Somerset Dr SE). When it snows, the weight of the snow pushes the tree further into the roadway and looks like it might fall over. This is not just branches, the actual trunk of the tree is growing diagonally (not plumb). We have an estimate from a professional tree service called David Marrs Trees for removal and disposal of this tree. There is a fire hydrant across the street from this leaning tree that could get blocked or covered if it falls down. In addition to this tree removal, we are also hiring the tree service to prune some other trees on our property that DO NOT fall into the public ROW. The pruning should be less than 25% of the crown per the city code. My son, Christopher, went to the City of Bellevue Permit Center today and spoke with three people: Cassie Thomson from permitting, Mazen Wallaia from Right of Way, and Miranda Riordan from Land Use. They all seemed to not have any problem with what we are trying to do, and gave us some instruction on how to provide a site map and photos etc. These we will attach in the file upload section. When my son spoke to ROW Engineer (Mazen Wallaia) and showed him the photographs of the leaning tree, Mazen specifically asked to be called out on the application so it can get to his attention. So I am listing him, Mazen Wallaia, here to be able to review this application.
