Description
Our location within Bellevue Square will act as a retail hub for our electric vehicles. Our space's purpose is to increase visibility and interest in our brand through educational displays and static interior vehicle displays. With all vehicle sales occurring online, we aim to create an ecosystem of spaces where customers can come to learn about our brand and products. Our goal is centered around brand awareness, education, and engagement. The proposed uses within the premises include the interior showroom, and incidental areas designated for office, back of house support programs, and a restroom. The showroom will host various functions including static vehicle display, trip planning, and general retail sales of Rivian-branded merchandise. None of the vehicles on site are for sale, and there is no surplus inventory. Every Rivian vehicle is custom built and shipped from our factory in Illinois to a Rivian Service Center for delivery, not to our retail locations. Given that the state of Washington does not currently allow direct-to-consumer vehicle sales, our displays will be educational in nature, and we will not plan for test drives at this location. If the state decides to allow direct-to-consumer vehicle sales, Rivian will look to change our use to auto sales if required to obtain a dealer's license but would not anticipate requiring any physical modifications to our space.
