The project involves design and construction of a pedestrian path between SE Newport Way and the north entrance to the South Bellevue Community Center building, which is situated in Eastgate Park. The proposed path will provide an ADA-compliant pedestrian route between sidewalks along Newport Way and the community center. The proposed crushed stone path will traverse a 30' high slope between the street and building via a series of meandering switchbacks that avoid existing large trees on the slope. A set of concrete stairs will provide a "short-cut" between path segments.
