This work includes the detection and notification equipment as required to meet current code and local jurisdiction standard.
The existing smoke detection will need to remain, reprogramming for the deleted four SFDs detection and control as stated in the mechanical drawings. Physical removal is by others. There are a total of eight other smoke detectors that will need to be removed and deprogrammed. HVAC/press fan devices that will remain.
The existing Fike panel and all its peripherals will be removed by others, and deprogramming of monitor devices by Convergint. Reuse of all the existing speaker strobes will be required (approx. 30, most if not all will need to be relocated), as well as the demo of the existing strobe only devices
The system proposed is a modification and extension of the existing EST3 analog addressable system
manufactured by Edwards Systems Technology (EST) and will be required to be installed to NFPA72-2013 requirements.
