Description
*20-108799 EA* When we hired an arborist to clean up English Ivy and trim dead branches, the arborist found a dead hemlock tree which can strike our house thus became a hazard. We looked up tree rules on City of Bellevue website and found we don't need a permit to remove it since a dead tree is not within the definition of a significant tree (which must be healthy), so we went ahead and removed the tree. However, apparently there was a neighbor thought we were cutting a healthy tree and reported to the code compliance office with enforcement case number 20-108799-EA, so the officer told us to submit a hazardous tree removal permit. We did get another ISA certified arborist to fill a Tree Risk Assessment Form. Tried to call the Land Use Office but couldn't get through, so applying online here. Thank you for your help & support!
