Description
A GLB under building #7 located, between grids 2A and 3A and along grid E, was found to be deformed substantially with sections of beam showing signs of delamination (gaps) between the 2x plates forming the beam. The scope to repair the sagging GLB includes the removal of the surface of the beam from dirt, debris, and barnacles; inject wood epoxy between delaminated plates; install lag screws from the bottom of the beam to tighten the delaminated plates; install steel channel beams on each side of GLB, install ledgers to improve floor joist bearing, and install positive connections between existing joists and ledgers.
